Ahora en español: es muy difícil para alguien que no sea hondureño comprender lo que ese gol significó. No sólo la emoción de muchas generaciones de hondureños que nunca habían vivido ese momento (me incluyo, porque sólo tenía tres para 1982), sino que también un momento para unir a nuestra gente enmedio de la crisis política de 2009, llevándose así toda la tensión. Por eso celebramos ese gol tanto aquí en Honduras.

It´s very hard for someone other than us Hondurans to understand what that goal meant. Not only the excitement of many generations of Hondurans who never lived that moment before (myself included, as I was only three for 1982), but a moment to unite our people in the middle of the political turmoil of 2009 and taking away with all the tension.. That is why this goal was so celebrated in Honduras.
