The Struggle - Korg X-3 Piano Patch Demo - Original Piece

This is a Combination I created editing the X3's raw piano sample. I was very pleased with the end result, which was created in 1999 and I wrote and recorded this piece immediately on the Yamaha MD8. However, I had to reformat my X3 since and my disk drive does not work anymore so I do not have access to this patch. I have played this to people who couldn't believe it was the X3, but if you listen to the high octave notes, they slighty detune after sustaining a second, which is undoubtedly the X3's piano. This keyboard is the most versatile, musical, and durable instrument I've ever owned, and I've had dozens. It has never stopped inspiring me.

I have a Korg X3 but I can't get a sound out of it. Do I need a floppy drive for it to play?

@davyjc hey, even if ur X-3 was formatted, it would still play a raw piano file with no effects, like a buzzing sound when you press the keys. for it to play the factory presets you need a copy of the original disk that came with it. just bringing it to a korg dealer to look at it will cost 100 bucks probably.

I prefer M1's pianos over the later X series. X series pianos are not as expressive.
