44871 + 70013 8th April 10 head back to Carnforth past morecambe sth jcn

in fading light and a farmer lit a bonfire half hour before it passed sending smoke drifting along the line and a virgin summat or other comes the other way, but they wern't hanging about, was on the wrong side of the line but there you have it. I believe they were 90 mins late at preston. 5 mins later it got too dark.

Hi. Was it yourself that I spoke to at Carnforth? I remember you saying about the farmer lighting his bonfire and getting bowled by the Virgin train. 5* by the way.

@LMSStanier Err... I spoke to a whole rake of regulars, but if you were the one that phoned ralph, then yes it was myself. by the way you did post it first time, ho ho, this you tube is a bit wierd since google took over but I guess we'll get used to it.

@stephengthompson Ah yes, oops, typical, been following the overhaul, got it on the brain, there's some vids of the overhaul on the tube. was getting anxious as the sun set just before they hurried by and a farmer had light a fire the smoke drifted up the line. got 45407 leaving carnforth and got bowled by a 158, been a lot of it about lately I notice. thanks steve.
