My own Tournament All-Star, also with a second line containing players that didn't really make it.

JACOB MARKSTROM (Sweden - Goaltender)
The best netminder tournament overall. Had two great games and kept Sweden all alone, against Finland and Russia. Made one mistake, and that was a major one, that sent USA to the final.

ALEX PIETRANGELO (Canada - Defender)
You can really see that this guy has got the NHL tempo in his play. Outstandig in the offensive zone and ruthless in the defensive zone. Most points (12; 3+9) among the defensemen.

JOHN CARLSON (USA - Defender) -
Scored the game-winning goal in the final, but that is not why he is here. A monster in his own zone, great vision and a heavy slapshot from the blueline. Important leader for Team USA.

JORDAN EBERLE (Canada - Forward)
Eight goals in six games for Canada and Eberle was the best goalscorer overall (tied with Andre Petersson). Two goals in the final that tied the game, but it was not enough.

DEREK STEPAN (USA - Forward)
One of the biggest surprises in the tournament. Natural leader and reliable in the score sheet. Picked up five goals and ten assists for USA, best overall.

JERRY D'AMIGO (USA - Forward)
Just got better and better the longer the tournament went and that is what signifies a winner. Scored two goals against Sweden and Canada in the semifinal respectively final.

2ND LINEUP
Oliver Ekman Larsson (Sweden - Defender)
Cam Fowler (USA - Defender)
Magnus Paajarvi (Sweden - Forward)
Taylor Hall (Canada - Forward)
Nino Niederreiter (Switzerland - Forward)

  • How come you dont have Andre petersson here? He did came 1 place togheter with eberle after all in the goal scoring.

Also swedish deffenders Lukas kilström and Mattias ekholm both had 10+ wich was more then everyone else in the entire tournament. How can you possible not have them on there?

  • petersson scored three goals against switzerland which isn't such an accomplishment, but was totally invisible against the us in the semi-final. Pietrangelo, Carlson, Eberle, Stepan and D'Amigo were great, especially in the crucial times.

when it comes to kilstrom and ekholm, the can not compete with either pietrangelo, carlson, ekman larsson or fowler, they were outstanding. kilstrom is to slow and cant cope with the north american speed and ekholm didn't show me anything special.

  • @WJCTV2010 If you are gonna put it that way, Eberle also scored agins swizz and italy..

Sure, they all were good but ekman larson? He did not even get 5+. Kilström or Ekholm are way better deffensive and would do much more good then ekman larson.

  • sure, but he scored to important in the end against usa and that signifies a winner!

  • i have to say im canadian and i think the best player had to be derek stepan

  • I hope Pietrangelo makes the blues this year and is good

  • So I must ask why no Niedderrieter?

  • @Blackbeast123 No..

You have to look at the big picture and not just a moment in a game.
