Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword - Endgame Nuking Spree

After staying up practically all night in a game of Civ IV, I was one turn away from winning with a Space Race victory, so to have some fun, I decided to unleash the nuclear holocaust on the rest of the world.

Or at least the rest of the world I wasn't already friendly with (i.e. my Defensive Pact neighbour and my vassal state).

And the only retaliation they could muster up in a single turn? A Battleship destroying my Transport and some Fishing Boats. Bloody weaklings.

I wish i could do that.

But i pressed "just one more turn". now it's 2446 and the russians, greeks, mongols, french, japs, and incans all have a defensive pact with each other.

Meanwhile, im fighting a 60+ year ongoing war overseas against the Romans that vividly resembles the war on terror.

I just...can't....STOP.

Actually how do you nuke? I have the bombs and all the technology, but it seems im not able to nuke some cities. Do you need to have something special for that? like a bomber?

what i do is bunch up 30 or so nukes and launch 1 on each major city >:)

This is what I always do at the end of my Civ games. I get burned out having to deal with all of my units and cities so I just launch 100 nukes then quit.

i remember when I played civ 4 my first time...i got so caught up in the nukes thing..i had built 136 nukes before my first real civ to civ war........
