Alien Jackson? :P
-
They used it twice last year for Gustav and Ike due to being almost category 3 and have a largish windfield. This music reminds me of The Peanuts.

Storm wasn't half as big as Irene in terms of size. Also it wasn't nearly as devastating as hurricane/TS Irene was
-
Wow, you were SOO CLOSE to the Eye,
-
Ophelia has a huge eye. It's enormous compared to the storm itself.
-
Song is For The Movies by Lenny Marcus in the Album "Bat in the Hat" Find it on Spotify
-
@DudeDie222 me too.
-
Damn...only 40-60? That's what we get during a tropical storm not a cat. 3 or something...
-
Oh wow, not sure how I missed that detail. Scratch that.

How come the Weather Channel didn't use the song "Eye of the Storm" for this forecast like they did with Katrina?
metsfreak4life 2 years ago
I think they didn't play the storm alert because back in 2005 they only played it when it was a major hurricane (cat 3 or higher) threatening land...for example the only times they played it in '05 was during Katrina, Rita, and Wilma all of which were category 3's at landfall.

No, it was just that the music hadn't debuted yet. It debuted for Katrina.

@socool775 exactly but Katrina happened before Ophelia...Katrina was in Aug. 2005, Ophelia was two weeks later in Sept. 2005
