An interesting video. Perhaps Melvin Belli should have been Jim Bakker's attorney from the beginning, instead of the two idiots who represented him during his court case of 1989.

  • Jim and Tammy were frauds of the worst sort, which is evident by their hiring of the high dollar lawyer Beli. I certainly hope that they both repented of their sins and at least returned the money they stole from their followers four-fold.

  • @dixiejon whats the story behind your case

  • @CincinnatiGifts most judges are criminals and they keep doing it because nobody stands up to them . i know belli was my lawyer

  • They should be preaching in jail.

  • how could u say that,no one forced anyone to send there money, they simply sent it themselves for they felt god told them too

  • Judge Potter certainly had his mind made up even before the jury was selected. I read the book about the trial, and the way the judge handled the court was a complete mess. The judge was a complete ass, and Jim's lawyers weren't much better.

It may have been the Judge's courtroom, but it was Jim's trial, and the lawyers should have forced the judge to go by the rules. They didn't. The lawyers looked pathetically weak.
