Straw Dogs Movie Review (Uncensored)

This is one of the longest reviews I've done so far. The reason for that is because there is so much to discuss about this movie that I could hardly get it all into one review. There's just so many things wrong with this movie that I barely even covered half of it. If you've seen this movie then let me know what you think about it. I know it's a remake of the 70's version but I'm sure that that one has to be better... It HAS to be. As for a final score, this movie gets a 2 out of 10! I only saw this movie for Alexander Skarsgard. Seeing him with his shirt off was worth $10. Everything else in this movie is total crap. Great review. Right on the money.

Rotten Tomatoes: remake= 42%, original= 91%....huge difference! Have you seen the original? I can't imagine how the story would be THAT much different. I didn't see it (and I usually only watch your reviews of movies I have seen), but I still enjoyed the review and probably WILL NOT see the flik.

@Beaniann Yeah that is a huge difference! No I haven't seen the original but if Dustin Hoffman is involved then I'd hope it'd be pretty decent. This is one of those movies that you definitely don't have to rush to... ever.

I think you did great on this review, Eric . (Eric, right?) The review made me laugh and actually think if I wanted to see this or not. You made it sound so bad that I don't ever want to see it. I love when Corey sends me your reviews. They're so entertaining to watch, and I enjoy seeing how others thought about the movie. Your reviews, are by far, my favourite to watch, ever. Bravo! Great review on a shitty movie.

@m1ndp0wers Also I feel that when you talked about Lincoln in the closet with the girl, you could have made your point quicker, and at 10:23 when you say, "brought him..." could have been redone. It's fine when you're acting like the characters and fumbling, or you're angry, but when you're just trying to explain something and you fumble, it just doesn't look good. It was still entertaining though.

@m1ndp0wers Ya, I watched it again and while I find that the majority of the quick cuts where you cut yourself off in mid sentence, could have been redone, it doesn't really take too much away. Though times when you fumble with what you're saying like when you said, "the husband's inside..." 1:16 and where you say, "that's not the worst part..." 7:59 and then repeat again after the cut that it's not the reason, could have been either cut or redone.
