Yeah, it works in the PC version but the controls are confusing because everyone has different ones, and I think without a joystick it's a little bit harder too.

Here are the controls for the PC version;

Get out of the highwind and press [CAMERA] so that the world revolves around you when you walk.

Then get back in, go to the edge of the cliff, press [CANCEL] and then quickly press [OK] and [LEFT]. Do not press it for too long.

working for my psp version, found it easier to fly real close to the floor otherwise the highwind was flying in circles and all over the place

Thanks for the video. Took me a few minutes but I finally figured out the trick to it. After I knew to help L1 on the way down it got simpler, and then I kept getting the ship to phase through the cliff but Tifa always got out on the wrong bit! But I discovered I simply wasn't lining the ship up close enough to the edge of the cliff.

It literally has to be lined up as close to the edge as possible whilst still allowing you to land. Nose of the shadow below should be over the cliff. :)

Good thing it's quadra magic, not that crappy HP-MP one.  Quadra magic is actually useful.

i cant do it the stupid piece of shit fuckin airship either turns the fuck around or takes off again right away, I;ve watched 4 different fucking videos, tried l + sqaure + L1 and every other fucking thing people have said to fucking do, I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR TWO FUCKING HOURS!!! With no 'strafing' sideways, the Highwind immediately takes off again to maximum altitude. The strafing tricks it into not doing that. The character can also get stuck

I found it pretty near impossible to do, but it happened by accident. So, what can I say? Keep trying? Patience might be sufficient, or it might not

There are many reasons to raise Chocobos; eg Quadra Magic is nothing compared to Mimic & KotR

Even if you can beat Emerald Weapon and get Master Materia, there is no Master Support
