@goodspelr Yeah, I agree. I think that violence damages their own cause, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. It's just that I think a larger problem with these SCs is that they really believe that they aren't responsible to society at all. Many SCs aren't violent, but are actively evading taxes and creating money laundering schemes, and trying to convince other people that this is okay when it isn't. If they truly feel no kinship to America, they shouldn't leech from its resources.

I know this is an old video now, but seeing as no one else said anything, I don't know if the Sovereign thing is still a big deal, but my stepfather seems to subscribe to these beliefs so I did a little internet digging to see what the logic was behind it. I guess I understand that many 'SC's aren't as violent as the ones on the news, but the ideology is still flawed in the way you mentioned, people rejecting their responsibility towards society, yet using resources that wouldn't exist otherwise

@Baconmooseful Thanks for the comment. SC's, have some legitimate grievances, but violence is just the wrong strategy in my opinion, not for moralistic reasons but simply because it's doesn't work and has the opposite effect of turning the rest of society against them. You're totally right though, the media totally blows things out of proprotion, you never see things on the media about: "man, who just want's be left along harrassed by enelected bureaucrats."
