BC Files - File of The Week (12/28/09): DJ Eclipse 1701-G (V1.0)

This Enterprise brings us back to the Galaxy class era of exploration while keeping with the trend of a heavily armed vessel. The multiple rows of windows tell us that this is one fat momma. Nessecary, no doubt, for the spacious interior accomodations, science labs, and redundat systems and supplies needed for multi-year long range exploriation now needed as a result of slipstrem drive and Voyagers journey. It pays homage to 3 earlier ships, with the solid, smooth transition between saucer and drive section of the E, the curved pylons and short nacelles of the D, and the under hull stern shuttlebays of the Excelcior era B, all with blending of advanced modern styling, bring us back to the days when the feds made thier ships look like they were and artistic statement.

Eventhough there will always be a special place in my heart for the the "BIG E's" D, This ship has to be the most gracefull looking of all the Star Trek Universe starships I have seen. I would love a model of this or a picture of it. Well Done DJ Curtis!

I know, I love this game even though it's a 2002 game. But people out there such as DJ Curtis and other well known modders push it or have pushed it to it's limits and continue to.

Producing ships like this to which I feel the need to show off, might try and do more in future as more mods come. =)
