the internet is really not free, you pay for the services like DSL, Cable, sat.. if you want free interent and connect get a laptop and connect.. then you can find free wifi spots.. pretty cool hey, one company this redoing New England, USA lines is Fairpoint, they just installed some brand new lines in my town to upgrade the existing ones..

The internet IS already Privatized. It has been for years. No one needed the government to step in then, I highly doubt government intervention would help anything now. Consider Youtube, owned by Google, a huge corporation; They control a HUGE amount of streaming data, at what point does the government step in and say "Thank you, we'll take it from here you greedy capitalists."? Think about it; TV is regulated...and it is censored. You REALLY want the Gov to do it again with the net?
