If you guys have any questions about this laptop or about my experience with HP's "quality service" feel free to leave a comment or two. Also if you guys had any experience in the past with HP's products or their service, leave a comment about your experience. Was it bad? Was it good? Im just curious.

Thanks for watching my video!!!

Watch my unboxing video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CF5dHQ9OwLk

Here's my story so far:
*June 1st - Got the laptop
*Five days later, found out the headphones weren't working so I sent the laptop to HP's repair center
*Two week later, got the same laptop back and the headphones were working, but they replaced my GPU from 2GB 6770HD to 1GB 6490HD (I paid $100 more for that GPU!!!)
*Three weeks later, got another laptop that was suppose to replace my first one, but the screen doesn't work.
*7/13/11 - Called HP for the seventh time and my case manger told me HP will send me ANOTHER LAPTOP to replace the one that was suppose to replace the one before. (THAT'S THREE LAPTOPS ALREADY!!!)
*WILL HP GET IT RIGHT ON THEIR THIRD LAPTOP? OR WHAT WON'T BE WORKING THIS TIME? TO BE CONTINUED???

This is what HP calls "quality service." First it was their factory making a laptop with the headphone jacks not working. Then it was their repair center where they replaced the wrong GPU on the board. Finally it's their factory again, but this time the screen doesn't work. That three strikes already. It's not only their factory or the repair center, but it's also their help line. They ignored my calls and replied three days later when they promised to give back a call in a day. IF YOU GUYS ARE THINK ABOUT BUYING PRODUCTS FROM HP THINK AGAIN.

UPDATE 8/26/11: I FINALLY GOT MY SECOND REPLACEMENT IN 1 MONTH AND 2 WEEKS AND THE LAPTOP ACTUALLY WORKS AND IT ALSO HAS ALL OF THE RIGHT COMPONENTS !!! NOW MY NEXT QUESTION IS HOW LONG WILL THIS LAPTOP LAST?!?!?!?

  • do you have any idea how the fixed the headphone port because i have the same problem, it used to work when i rebooted the computer with the headphones in the port :| that was annoying

  • @xXhallwayXx unless you know how to open up the laptop and solder the new headphone piece... sorry man but i think a new motherboard is needed for you problem. If you bought the laptop from hp and this problem accured within a year, than you can send it to them to get it repaired for free (it's covered within the warranty). other than that if you bought it from somewhere else I have no clue. Sorry... Good luck

  • If you returned your first laptop to get a new one, how come you still have two laptops?

  • @anticwar because this was when i filmed when i got the second laptop and before sending back the defualt model

  • Hey I just got a HP Envy and it came with a bad (raised) track pad. Called HP and they said they could repair it or replace it. They told me I could not keep the defective unit while a new one was shipped. I would have to ship mine first, so I chose the repair option as it would take less time. How did you get to keep your old laptop while they shipped the new one?

  • @vteasy na. for me it was the complete opposite. they told me to send the defective unit after the new laptop arrived. i think they gave me this opportunity because this was when they made not once but twice the mistake

  • HP sucks. period.

  • @drakenlordofpain Not true, dell or gateway maybe but the rest normally either get it right the first time or don't charge shipping, unless you are out of warranty.

  • Dude, for the same price you could've got a MacBook Pro and their consumer-rated customer service is second to none. HP is actually near the bottom of the barrel. Apple's turn around on repairs is 2-5 business days, anything more is rare, not unheard of but rare. HP doesn't even know about their own ePrint app in the App Store for their ePrint printers. They send customers after 8 hours of run-around transfers to Apple cause it's an issue with AirPrint and the printers aren't made for AirPrint.

  • @mrtechboy2000 No, actually that's a huge drop in performance.

  • @mike419s87 I'm pretty sure someone who knows how to check their device manager knows what port is the effin output. Besides, wouldn't you be pissed if your computer had to go through 3 multi-week turn-arounds? He's actually quite calm compared to most.

  • Apple has the best customer service.

  • This guy is dumb. If it was from anyone else your ass would have been paying for the shipping and everything. Then they would have wanted you to pay for the repairs, but his dumb ass does not know what service is.

  • @vteasy Its because hes Hating on HP because he got a lemon. Even huge corporations make mistakes. Hes just unlucky i guess.
