I agree with you wholeheartedly. I think it's a great choice for someone to save themselves, but not under the illusion that they will end up in a happier, healthier marriage. My friend and her husband were both virgins when they married 7 years ago, but now they are getting divorced.

There is no god up there. God lives in every one of us, and if god tells one person not to have sex before marriage it's intended for him/her. But it's not intended to be the same for everyone everywhere. Look into yourself, the truth is in there.

Also, speaking from a guy's persepective ladies really need something special like this to keep someone permanently. No matter how much love you have, it will eventually fade. If I am just another guy in a long list of partners, I probably wont stay and will want something new. She is special, I couldn't just find another her. I can't say that for most women these days.

It really is a two part question. Just because you save yourself doesn't guarantee you a worthy partner, but if you save yourself and find a worthy partner you can share something special and amazing.

I see both sides. But I do feel like if you develop self control/discipline and commitment you have a better chance. Most people don't develop that, then get married, and lack those tools which are necessary for it to endure. Which is why there is so much divorce. Also, I think the bond is stronger when you share something special like that. Most guys don't have to get married because so many women just give it up, it's like why marry her if she is just giving me what she gave others!!

wow, someone sounds bitter. I think the point is that if you prepare yourself before marriage by developing self control and discipline it gives you a better chance at lasting. Maybe 1 in 2 marriages fail because there is so much adultery which is a result of lack of self control and commitment.

HEY IM a straight virgin and im 28 and gods will is for people to wait until they are married. It is hard for me to imagine how unmarried people who have a relationship or a monogomus relationship can get undressed and have sex without a marriage attached to it. Im 28 year old American of Ethiopian descent. People if you are having sex outside of marriage it is fornication and you need to wait until you are married.
