We have one cow that attacks kids. No kids are allowed near her. But my son Vamanadev is always around the cows and so I have to teach him self defense. It's a kind communication with the cow that says, "I am not easy, don't be so confident, I am strong, you cannot hurt me." It's cow psychology. Why she doesn't like kids? She sees them the same way she sees cats and dogs.... she fears them and thinks that she must defend herself. She must have developed this fear with her previous owner somehow.

  • I agree with every thing you said. I found most animals don't like kids inless they have seen them before when they were little, my cow never had any thing bad happen with kids but it took a little while to get her ok with them petting her.

  • @samthesteerrider Yeah usually they have to be around them when they are young. But I have had some cows automatically be nice. :-) Dwadasi is cool, when Pitambar was born she was very protective and wanted to buck my son away, but my sister just put her finger between her forehead and said "No" and she understood right away.

  • Haribol, brave little boy. Showed no fear and gave her a solid little thwack.Obviously all life is to be respected and not mistreated but there has to be clear boundaries and hierarchy. HARE KRSNA
