@Ryan129990 Most trapeze schools will have a 2hour discovery class. You should go try it out for fun! I am not a gymnast so I get my technique from trampoline and trapeze... The way I think of it when I do it on the floor is to stretch my body with my arms up as much as possible at takeoff then when I am up in the air I throw my arms down towards my body one after the other. When you twist left, bring your left arm down first. Tighten your abs and look for the floor!
@Henrimolle Wow, you replied super fast! Thank you for all of the information but, I am not particularly interested in going to a Trapeze school, I just thought it was cool :) If you have any skills on floor, can you give me some tips for doing full twisting layouts on floor? Thanks!
There are a lot of "flying trapeze schools around the world. I can see that you live in the US; what state do you live in (no exact address please)? There might be a school near you!
This one is in Austin, Texas, you should lookup trapezeaustin for more info.
As far as your other questions, the net is made out of thin rope and there are elastics on the outside that help you bounce. In this case, the ceiling is about 41 feet: just high enough...
First of all I really had no idea that places like this existed! What is that next made out of? This I very interesting. So has anyone ever hit the ceiling before or is there a safety block or something?
