Doubt he'll be a zombie, broham. The game spans from 1, 2, and 3 so, he'll more than likely be a living human. ;-)

if you watch the gameplay footage they show 3 full matches and scorpions in one of them and they show his fatality. And i was thrill to find out scorpion is in here bcuz he is my favorite character

@TheBloodsport77 I guarantee you that Scorpion will be in the game because he is Ed Boon's favorite character, and Liu Kang will most likely be in it also, he might be a zombie though.
