This was my contribution to the world of Bealtes Cinematic study, as I was the one who identified this as being the Apple Boutique and wrote about it on IMDB. That's my awkward description up the top ;)

The store's downfall was they lost 200,000 Pounds & media started to portray the Beatles as Shopkeepers. John & Paul were very pissed off & wanted the store gone so on July 31 1968 all the merchandise was free & people could take whatever they wanted. Yoko even took pounds of Irish Silk & wore it as she got into John's car. One woman even tore the carpeting off the floor. One night afterwards Paul spray painted the window with the words "Hey Jude" but was interpreted as "Hey Juden" a Nazi slur.

i think that was the white album poster, a yellow submarine and magical mystery tour sitting on the counter.
Any movie with Maggie Smith is a winner. Two thumbs up for this one.
