Every video I find for the best guitarists ever does NOT have David Gilmour on it or high at all. You people have no idea how amazing he was. His solo's may not be the fastest but they sure are damn hard to play. Screw all of you little Shawn Lane fanboys. Gimour, Page, Hendrix FTW.

Personal preference aside...opining that David Gilmour is somehow a superior instrumentalist and listen to the late Shawn Lane is an indelible confirmation of your musical illiteracy.

study RANDY RHAODS people you might learn something about playing guitar like slash and especially who ever plays for U2 wow being there and not him is rediculos you got toni iommi on your list and hes not even close to the best guitarist that played with ozzy do yourselfs a favor and listen to me on this one hes truly a under appreciated guitar player and him not being on this list proves that and U2 come on they belong no where near any guitar list
