In the U.S., the Qadiani Ahmadiyya have been depicting themselves as the standard-bearers of 'equality' for women. Ahmadi women cannot vote for, or hold, general office within their 'cult', are discouraged from reporting abuse and violence to the authorities of the land, and are subject to arbitrary dress codes on threat of excommunication.
Meanwhile, in the North American Muslim context, Dr. Ingrid Mattson of ISNA US, and Wahida Valiante of CIC Canada are examples of leading women that have held the leadership of these largest Islamic organisations in North America.
The Qadiani Ahmadiyya anti-Islamic propaganda is very dangerous during the current wave of Islamophobia in North America.

Good try. I have a question for you...why r u even discussing what Ahmadi's do and say about the women? You should not have any concern about ahmadies any more. U both decided to leave. Why don't u tell us what good u found out of jamaat? R u regretting ur decision??

@AhmedBasharat Exchange of ideas is how humanity progresses. We will not stand by while Ahmadiyya:
1. oppresses its women,
2. does not allow them to vote as they are entitled to as full members of the Western-registered organisations, and as the law requires,
3. and then maligns Muslims in the West who respect women, obey the law and allow them to hold office and vote for their organisations.

@MuslimIdentity im rather surprised at even the topic of your discussion as iv never myself or known of any lady (oldere or younger in age or experience) have had any trouble voicing their opinions or casting a vote. Alhamdulillah we have a huge amount of rights and get treated with respect, i guess you are merely just pointing out what happens around you (possibly withing the circle/invironment or even the state of mind you happen to live in.
AfifaC 4 months ago
@AfifaC no amounts of books or seminars remove the reality that the Ahmadiyya do not allow their women to vote for the president of the local Jamaat or the Amir -- let alone hold those positions. Yet, women are forced to pay the full share of their employment income. Please realise your rights and fight for them.
MuslimIdentity 4 months ago
@MuslimIdentity as far as I'm aware, women cannot lead prayer when men are present; that would be everywhere in Islam; however, can do so when only women are present. Similarly, for a general position that encompasses both genders, such as the Amir or President of local Jamaat women are not elected; however, as you are aware, they have their own organisations for which they can, and are encouraged to lead
shamaschaudhry 3 months ago
@shamaschaudhry -- this is just about election to a general position that encompasses both genders (as you rightly put it) or even the right to vote for it. Their own organisation is not dissimilar to those for girl or children or youth. The question is: are they not full human beings that they only have auxiliary, while men can be members of auxiliarly and main body? While women are forced to give full chanda on their income. Good comment from you - keep thinking.
