The opening movement of Vivaldi's Beatus Vir recorded at the Church of the Pietà in Venice. The orchestra of the OAE/Jerwood Experience, led by Nadja Zwiener, with the women basses, tenors, contraltos and sopranos of Schola Pietatis Antonio Vivaldi (Vivaldi's Women) directed by Richard Vendome.

  • It's good but it misses good contraltos.

  • tout simplement divin ! quel plaisir ! Bravo ! Michèle

  • Dígnvs Ántíqvvs Aurís!

  • RV 795 is the "Pietà" version - the solos are all soprano/contralto.

  • Thanks a lot!

This is awesome, as usual !

And discovering a "new" Vivaldi is always a pleasure!

At first I even thought you had reversed the numbers of RV 597...

Besides, is it a coincidence? Has Peter Ryom done this voluntarily?
