Tony T here with our Rockstar quick hitter for Saturdays action. Saturday night on Pay-Per-View a fight in the Light Heavyweight Division as Joe Calzaghe defends his perfect 45-0 record against Roy Jones Jr. Joe Calzaghe is a 280 favorite with the underdog Roy Jones bringing back +240. Calzaghe is coming off a split decision victory over Bernard Hopkins. Jones Jr has lost 3 of his past 6 fights with his last lost coming in the third Tarver fight where he lost a unanimous decision. In that loss Jones Jr threw nearly half as many punches as Tarver and the loss was by wide margin on the scorecards. Since that defeat Jones Jr fought lesser fighters and now steps in the ring against the undefeated Calzaghe. Tarver couldnt finish Jones Jr because he tired late in the fight. Tarver was never hurt in the fight. Joe Calzaghe is in tremendous condition and is a very busy fighter who can throw punches from start to finish. Calzaghe gets his hand raised here. Take Joe Calzaghe at 280.

Economics may prevent him from fighting. Recent PPV numbers have been poor and Joe C and most older fighters will need to take a pay cut. Unlikely for fighters over 35 in todays economy

He'd fight whoever, just that American boxing is in such a bad state that he has to go to the old guys because there is nobody else worth fighting, and Joe is 36 himself. Lacey was sent over to knock him out, how did that go? Hopkins, who just demolished the great hope Kelly Pavlik, haha Calzaghe number 1 pound for pound fighter on the planet!

Who's next for the legend killer calzaghe? is he looking for his next opponent in a retirement home... or trying to make a deal with 60 year old George Forman? LMAO. That goofy slapping idiot hasn't made me a fan yet.
