Freddie Mercury's Last Party 1990

The 1990 awards ceremony saw the last public appearance of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Queen appeared at the ceremony to receive the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Mercury (who had been suffering from AIDS since 1987 but hadnt disclosed it to the public) did not make a speech, as Brian May did the talking on behalf of the other members but his gaunt appearance was noticeable

This one of the reasons I seldom post on this site when you have some religious nutjob coming out with ridiculous statements which are quoted from some Jesus freak website. I also seldom wallow in this morbid fascination which other's choose to do. I reflect more on Freddie and Queen in their heyday. What we see here is a man of his former self, it would have been so easy for him to bow out of the music industry when he came ill but he loved the fans too much to do so. RIP Freddie, a true legend

it's just so hard to see him...like that.....it's really..difficult n painful....

from his frail look..anyone can notice he was in agony....n he couldn't stand...n but he never stopped giving music he actually did a whole album while he was so sick....n he gave his classic (I'm going slightly mad)_he was so strong n creative n determinant when he was in a good health,he was a hurricane on stage,controlling the audience on ze palm of his hand,it just hurt me to see him like zat so sick n frail
