I woke up with a sharp pain throughout my head. I looked over and noticed Joe beside me, with no shirt on. "Joe, wake up."
He opened his eyes slowly, "Morning."
"Why don't you have a shirt on?"
He sighed and gave me a tiny smile, "Your fault."
"What?"
"You're a little horny when you're drunk."
"What?"
"Don't worry, nothing happened...well not really."
"Again, what?"
"We kissed...or rather, you kissed me."
My eyebrows furrowed, "One more time, whhhat?!"
"It doesn't have to be awkward, Demi."
"How drunk was I?" I asked, scared of his answer.
He laughed, "Well on the cab ride home you said a couple of pretty hilarious things."
"Like what...?"
He sat up, obviously getting excited to make fun of me, "You said, and I quote; 'If people don't stop giving me shit for being a virgin, I swear i'm going to get up and blow someone in the middle of the classroom!"
"Oh my God..." I rolled my eyes.
"That's not even the half of it. When we got back you insisted on pulling out your pencil case and you kept trying to highlight my face because you said I was important."
"Fuck, i'm a nerd even when i'm trying to be badass." I sighed.
"Sadly, yes."
"Sorry I kissed you, Joey."
"Don't worry about it, D."
"Shit, we're leaving tonight aren't we?"
He nodded, "I'm already packed and you aren't? That's a first."
(The next morning)
I woke up and looked around me, I was in Joe's room. It was adorable how his parents didn't take anything out or add anything in since he left for college. I got out of bed and hopped into the shower. It was so nice to see everyone again last night. I could tell that Selena thought Nick was cute, she was going gaga over him. Thanksgiving wasn't until thursday and it was only monday so that rest of the week was free for us to hang out at the house, go shopping or skiing or whatever we wanted. After my shower I changed into a pare of tight white skinny jeans and a tan cashmere sweater, I loved Thanksgiving, it was my favorite holiday. The turkey, the colors, the togetherness. I never got that in high school. My parents were always out of town and when they weren't my mother was constantly putting me down, telling me I was fat and stuff. It eventually led me to all kinds of eating disorders, anorexia, bulimia, you name it. And when my father was home he was a mean drunk, he'd slap me around a bit so I decided once and for all when I turned 16 to get emancipated, so I moved into a tiny apartment and worked my ass off in school, which got me a scholarship and that's why I still work my ass off because if I don't then that's goodbye college. It sucked having to work through highschool, but it was my choice and it was better than basically dying in my house with my so-called parents.
I went downstairs, everyone was awake but me. Joe was sitting on the counter in his plaid pj bottoms and white t eating a bagel, Nick was going through the cabinets with Frankie on his shoulders, Kevin was playing scrabble with his wife, Chanelle (A/N: I didn't want to use Danielle because I use that name as DEMI in SCANDALOUS, Chanelle=Danielle as in Kevin's real like fiance, in this though, not Demi), Selena was giggling like crazy at Nick, Mr. Jonas was reading the newspaper and Mrs. Jonas was watching all her boys while sipping a glass of coffee.
