  • Where did you get this beautiful loco?

  • I got it second hand (no, actually, third hand) from a good friend some years ago. Built by a chap called Malcolm Wright (trading as Wrightscale) in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire.

I gather he is building a small batch this year; there have been adverts in 16mm Today. Contact details can be found by Googling "Wrightscale Aboyne" though I think phone is a better bet than email.

  • what gauge is this loco

  • 32mm gauge, 16mm to the foot scale.

  • This Wren was ready-built but he also does it as a kit. No idea how long the waiting list is, but believe it is substantial. This one is 10+ years old but has been in store for much of that time.
