Here's a rough pass animation and texture work. Concept is from DRAGON NEST, an upcoming MMO game from EYEDENTITY GAMES.

I did every visual element myself including the skinning, rigging, and animation.

  • looks great, the only thing might be that the toes snap down to the ground a little too fast, making them look a little wierd, which ofc can easily be fixed by slowing that down just a teensy bit.

  • @centuryslayer I agree with this comment. Next pass, I should fix this.

  • Watching this make me sad because i know I'm never going to achieve such ... such PERFECTION REALLY !

  • @Cobac Haha! Thanks, bro. Well, it's far from perfection, but I'll take the compliment. I need to get back to finishing the textures, they are about 60% done.

  • I know this might be nit-picking and I suppose it can easily be overlooked..but if you notice the ear-ring "snaps" into place after each loop...even for little things like that the principle of the first and last keyframes needing to be the same remains true ^_^...outside of that and after watching all the work you put into the model itself? I can say that you have an amazing pipeline set up!...keep it up!

  • I think that instead of blue it should have been brown or blood red, but it still looks cool

  • Welp this is semi-old and the only two crits I was gonna post have already been said (earring and toes) ... sooo I'll just lay on the compliments :D

Really great work: a cool concept with an almost flawless walk cycle and nice texturing so far!

  • just awsome!!!!

  • Hmm...Looks awesome...nice job.It rather look a little nit-picking,but I think you should add some blinking.It will look more realistic.(Wait a minute,how realistic can a monster look!?

  • @rodneyabrett well when you've got so much other stuff to worry about animating that little stuff gets overlooked. I look for little things like that not to hinder anyone's work, but rather to show that even the tiniest detail can make or break an otherwise fantastic walk cycle :D...I still say it's an awesome walk cycle either way

  • @DJStry Thanks. Actually, I didn't notice that.
