Divers and bridge crews are replacing 30 frayed and corroded anchor cables on the I-90 and SR 520 floating bridges in Seattle. These steel cables, which connect the pontoons to anchors on the floor of Lake Washington, are nearing the end of their design life and need to be replaced to keep the bridges safe from windstorms.
