  • Im a dressage rider and a cross country rider and a show jumping rider, and i do good in all three so dressage riders can jump

  • well your not really a dressage rider, your better rounden riding a bit of everything. At that time I hadn't jumped for sevral years ;)

  • lawl. just cos you dont fall off doesn't mean you're good at it! I would cry if someone caught with jumping in that position showed at the end of the video.

  • I take it your American :) Im European, we jump with different techniques ;) its a little harder, for me, to jump with the American technique when the height exceeds a meter

  • Uhh, actually, I'm Australian. Our technique is a mixture of both american + European styles. And actually, doesn't matter where you live. Everyone, regardless of nationality, has their own distinct technique and style. you just have to work on yours.

  • As mentioned above, Im a dressage ride and my jumping technique is fine for me, its doesnt hinder the horse and Im in balance. Lol any way I jump once a week if not less, its not high on my priority list

  • AHAHAHAHAHA that is awesome. Love how you dont see the fall, just the horse prancing away I couldn't help but laugh.

  • i think she was just joking about the dressage riders cant jump as at the end she clearing states they can!

i think PURE dressage riders dont general like jumping, and PURE showjumpers dont like dressage.

eventers are all rounders but their dressage isnt to the same level, nor is their jumping as the pure's but they hold their own on the XC cus that takes balls of steel!!! they are brilliant riders in their own right!

  • @TiranoCEC Don't listen to them! I think your position is fine.... your not showing in it, you're doing for fun. So as long as you aren't hurting your horse (which you're not) why on earth would it matter? Haters are gonna hate. Keep riding the way you are :) you're good.

  • Oh dear that was funny!! I know how you felt my first jumpin lesson ended wit me on the floor too!! Lol

  • I can jump lol and i ride dressage

  • I love that video. PRICELESS.

I also love how everyone's commenting saying stuff like "I'm a dressage rider, and I can jump, stop lying" and all this, when actually... It was only a joke? Chill the hell out?

  • I do dressage, and i DONT jump :P

  • lol! i'm a dressage rider and i tired to jump my horse as well....kinda went just like yours xD i hope your okay after the fall!!

  • I clearly ride dressage AND jump...

  • @Noricima there isnt anything different between them...i was taught to ride in scotland, and then moved back to my home(kentucky) and they said i had a perfect jumping position...

  • @TiranoCEC Hi, just read your comment about the difference between european and american style. I don't think it's possible to go over a really high jump (6 feet and up) without comming close to the neck of the horse
