@jryan6969 I heard also b/c Gene wanted to be able to show the inherent "humanity" in all of us and that even aliens will be able to get along.

Why are all the guest star aliens humanoid? Ansewer: because they need to use human actors to play them.

@jamesmcburnie and yes i know how ,much of a nerd i am going to sound like for knowing this, but she gave the answer to that in another interview, which went along the lines of. . .
FAN: well why are all the guest star aliens humanoid in shape?
to which she replied: when we start auditioning actors who aren't humanoid in shape, that will chance lol
and for what it's worth, i bet u would have never expected the answer to that question to come more than two years later lol

I really miss watching that geeky kid on star trek. Will Wheaton sure made the series balanced in a way in which kids his age, identify themselves with him.
We're talking about the eighties of course, and i was one of them at the time.
It was with sorrow (and a few tears) when i read why he was forced to left the show...
Paramount Jerks... It really made me hate them for a while!
