#3 track from Zen Arcade (1984)

Lyrics:
There are things that I'd like to say
But I'm never talking to you again
There's things that I'd like to phrase some way
But I'm never talking to you again

I'm never talking to you again
I'm never talking to you
I'm tired of wasting all my time
Trying to talk to you

I'd put you down where you belong
But I'm never talking to you again
I'd show you everywhere you're wrong
But I'm never talking to you again

  • Really? Zero comments? This is maybe the best break-up song ever written, and no one has a word to say about it? I guess if Dashboard Confessional had written it, it would've been played at prom.

  • i wish i had the courage to say what they sing...

  • Great, haven't heard it for ages!! Thanks for posting :)

  • check out this version watch?v=gojDtiNb4Rs

  • The studio version is much better than the live video that's up on YT. They sounded like shit at that benefit concert. I know we're not supposed to admit that Mould and Hart can sound bad live but if you can listen to that and think it sounds good than we have differing definitions of "good".

  • i agree this really is one of my favorite songs, sometimes when i go for a walk i listen to this song like six times in a row

  • @GAlanHassell i agree, when i go for a walk sometimes i listen to this song six times in a row. its really a perfect song and i understand what he means in his lyrics so much.

  • @GAlanHassell

Good music often goes unnoticed and unappreciated. This song is definitely one of my top 10. Great album too.

  • Fabulous song. I agree this needs comments. One of the top ten American bands ever
