You could also try playing it less legato, that will definately freshen it up!

This is quite good for only a semester of lessons. Have you considered taping some less complex pieces that you can handle without "adjusting" the tempi? This, in its time, was a virtuoso work, after all. It requires mastery of the so-called "stylus fantasticus." But this is not to discourage you. Keep practicing!
very nice!! but only one thing: it would sound better if you play the fist part faster, and also the second part of the fugue, but it's very good!! congratulations!
