Its a 5! My favorite Elton Album and one my favorite albums period. I was a junior in HIgh School when this came out. I still play the LP today. Every song is a winner!

Absolutely...I was a college freshamn but just 16, and my baby-hippie imagination wrapped its legs around this album and never let go. This is soul-rock, and reverence for history and humanity (and foggy/haunting lyrics and melodies) that haven't been equalled in pop music history...thanks for expressing!

The rerelease of this album has a version of Mad Man across the water featuring Mick Ronson on guitar...its really sweet
