farblonjet The Obama Plan is NOT Single Payer... he is too compromising with Republicans and Democrats that are in the insurance and pharmaceutical companies hip pockets. The majority of Americans want Single Payer, NOT just so-called "public option".

farblonjet Canada discovered my friend's Ovarian Cancer and she was CURED before she left Canada... they did emergency surgery on her and got ALL the cancer out in time because her ovaries were in EARLY STAGES OF CANCER. She herself told me she was diagnosed and cured before she left Canada with NO MEDICAL BILLS.
Single Payer is NOT socialized medicine, it is simply the govt being the "single payer" of healthcare instead of insurance corporations. Everyone gets care from whom they choose.

farblonjet I am telling the story just as she told it to me, she was so glad that the Ovarian Cancer was discovered in Canada , while on vacation! Of course it was in the early stages, and the point is twofold: Canadian ER discovered her ovarian cancer early because they clearly thoroughly tested her, even though she was not their citizen. Secondly, she left Canada with no medical bills! She felt that if she was feeling pain in USA, they may or may not have discovered it in time, & be BILLED

With due respect to Sen Sanders, a single payer system means more government coercion, aka tyranny. A free market in medicine is the clear solution because it violates no ones rights, it allows the costs of insurance to come down to reasonable rates, and, as a consequence, it provides the broadest coverage for the poor and the rich, and everyone in between.

Signed! Single payer NOW,everyone in and no one left out. Senator, also, please point out the incredible conflicts of interests among the membership with so many elected officials taking big contributions from and being investors in so called "health care" companies. Thank you and I think we can win this this term. Now is the time.
