  • Please note: bisphenol A, possible endocrine disruptor is an ingredient in the epoxy commonly used to coat the inner surface of cans and heating may cause it to be released into the contents. Older, heavier cans were not so treated and this is why many people learned to heat water this way in the past. Many cans also have a polymer inner liner which may be clear and hard to discern.

  • The lining on the tin can is not safe to cook in.

  • Great ideas. Is it safe to cook in the cans? I've heard that it was not safe, but that information might be old.
