  • I have 3 partitions. one is my C: drive(primary).. the other is the recovery partition, and I have one more that just says "Primary partition" .. I don't know what the third one is for. ..Can I delete that one ? Also, How do I back up the partitions?

  • @adrianm15 i wouldt delete anything that you dont know what it is. THe recovery partition is what i kill in order to set up a dual boot on My system. dose you system have a Hybrid hard drive? that could be why it shows two primary drives. if not then i don't know what that would be. but like i said before. the best way to dual boot is to just stick a second hard drive in your machine. you need to use a cloning program such as Norton ghost if you want to back up the entire drive.

  • @MrGizmo757 hey there man tanks for the video was pretty f... good instructable i like the way you explain things so easy . but here is my doubt is this work with suse linux ? cause i ve had some issues trying to install it on my notebook some people say that i need to install 7 first and you said so but dont work for me i ve installed suse first on pc and worked but on notebook no.

  • @anndersonnmarcardoso Well one thing that i found that causes dual booting to fail with SUSE is where SUSE puts the Boot loader. when you go through the installation process in suse when you come to the install summery screen about have way down disable boot from /. and enable boot from MBR. try that. i have had problems dual booting suse and that always seems to fix it.

  • as always great video, very explanatory. thanks for the good work and thanks for making me discover Pardus. a great and very professional distro.

but i have a request that i have already done to u in the past.

imagine that u have windows installed in your PC and your hard disk is divided in a C and a D drive.

a video on how to install pardus on a C drive preserving all the data that u have on the D drive would be highly appreciated.

    thanks

  • @edishyti1 yeah i remember. i use my everyday computer do do these things on so whatever i do i have to live with for a wile. that is why i haven't done it. i might do it one of these days if i find the time. but i wont make any promises. if i had a spare throw around computer then sure no problem, but i dont. but i haven't forgotten.

see all
