"We Americans spend nearly $700 billion a year on the military and less than $3 billion on the F.D.A., even though food-poisoning kills more Americans than foreign armies and terrorists. "

Programs such as "No Child left" behind was merely the federal government expanding its powers upon the states. We have funneled billions of dollars into this federal program but why is it that the quality of our education system ranks fairly low compared to other industrialized nations? I am not against funds for our education system just critical of the Federal government encroaching upon the States to make profit.

The Founding Fathers fought against a government which over-taxed and exploited its people; Great Britain
Im not criticizing our military, for I have family members who have served.
What I am critical about is politicians whom continue funding unconstitutional / undeclared wars while receiving big campaign contributions from the MIC. After all what do our politicians swear to uphold and defend before taking office?

U.S also has the largest Education bill in the world want to cut that too? O wait you wouldn't stfu kuza

rofl Kuza01 your so dumb.
talking about the very founding Fathers who went and fought an Army of pirates and started killing Indians, and fought the french for a few years.
be thank for we have such a amazing military, if any thing lets cut some use less civy program, and there is a hell of a lot of those.
country's like South Korea need us right now. etc.
are military alone is what keeps a lot of wars from happening and keep world wars from happening.

We have around 750 military bases located in around 130 different countries. The largest expense of the Federal Budget comes from the Department of Defense. The defense budget for 2009 is 515.5 billion. Meaning at the expense of the tax-payer we are spending more money overseas than we do here at home. George Washington warned us of standing armies bc it would suck the wealth away from the country.

Military complex is also a very good thing. he was just stating don't let them get a lot of control. which they have not also they are very American and want to protect the U.S
as i said don't be the ppl that were against the carriers in the late 1930's it will be you in the ass.

If you are refering to the Atom bomb then...
The truth is the US did NOT want to use the A-Bomb on Japan.
They tested it here in the states and invited some of Japan's representatives to witness the explosion and bring back the news that if Japan did not surrender they will use it on Japan.
When the news was relayed to the Japanese Governement they chose to surrender but the words they used could have been translated to mean "no response".
And the Japanese media reported it as such.....
The war on terror, it's BS no matter what you call it.
