Third part of our honeymoon in Europe! I told Ty that the train was going to be packed:) I knew that we would have some trouble with my two pink suitcases, but we improvised:) The suitcases took my seat and I sat next to a nice old lady. But we quickly made it to Florence and fell in love with the city from the very first moment. We knew it was a good sign when the cab driver's face lit up once we said, "Hotel David." That hotel was awesome. Our beautiful room had prosecco and strawberries waiting for us. I was happy to find a huge bed and Ty was happy to find a real toilet seat:) After some time relaxing in the hotel, we made our way to the Ponte Vecchio. Starving, we stepped into a small sandwich shop. It was kind of like an Italian Subway, only better:) We enjoyed our panini and vino and then went to see the duomo. My boots were still causing pain for my poor feet, so Ty bought me some new boots:) We spent the next two days enjoying wine, churches, monasteries, and museums. The Uffizi was absolutely amazing. Fra Angelico's paintings on the monastery's cell walls still take my breath away. We had a really great time running through the city in the morning when the streets were still quiet. Despite some rainy weather, we had a truly wonderful time in Florence.
