I recon you had to have a crap load of courage to be a medic. As shown in Bastone when the shells were dropping, it was the medics who were out there dodging shells and fallin trees to give aid to those in need. Salute to all medics, Past, Present and Future!

oh I forgot to mention that the US didn't want war either. I believe the official poll was like, 94% of the US population didn't want war, along with 89% of the politicians. It was only after the average joe was shown pictures and videos of people being imprisoned (without being shown or told why. We did the same thing to the Japanese here in the US during WWII btw, was a standard procedure of the time), and of course it made them go, "That's not right. I'm gonna go fight", anyone would!

It's a fuckin shame that both armies of both great countries had to fight such a blood, vicious war against each other while the real enemy remained untouched, laughing to themselves while they raked in billions of dollars and had others do their expanding and conquering for them. It's fuckin sickening. To the original topic though, yes, a definate huge salute to all medics - past, present ,and future! and unfortunately in school we never hear the real, full story. We're just taught that some guy named Hitler woke up one day and said, "Hey guyz lets put a bunch of Jewz in prison 4 teh lulz!
