  • @bagpiper2005 Wow, that's a first I've read a comment like that. Did you learn simply by watching people's fingers and listening to the music?? Please explain. I've been playing for 14 years and I write my own music.

  • @scottbrianmason Ok, put the cameronian rant or a piobaireachd in front of a piano or guitar player and watch them struggle. Don´t forget to explain why eg the crunluath is only written as an asterix. Then of course the harado, himbare, rodin and all the rest.........

  • @Enferushostis

Mate, stop being ridiculous, I've played the pipes man and boy and I'm also an experienced guitar and piano player. Pipe music is far easir to sight read than classical guitar music.

  • @Enferushostis Say what? O.o

  • Wrong!!! written bagpipe notation is very very complex indeed, if not the most complex of all. Ask any guitar, trumpet or violin player to sight read pipe music. Dont forget they all share embellishments, pipers don´t, they play them all. There are so many notes in piobaireachd embellishments other musicians wouldn´t know where to start

  • Thank you sir!

  • wow thats the same for the bass guitar and buffalo dude person sheet music might be easy to read but for this u have to learn it all over again

  • im very fluent in the piano so sheet music is a breeze for me (8 years of readin the shit)...NO OFFENCE TO ANY PEOPLE.... but the bagpipes r pretty kickass so im gonna see if i can learn em =D

  • hey my grand dad is also teaching me how to play bagpipes he was in the army and has played in the edinburgh tatoo 4 times he is giving me his chanter and his bagpipes that he learned with and plaed in the army

  • I am starting to play and played the drums and thought it was just harder to use sheet music.
