@bagpiper2005 Wow, that's a first I've read a comment like that. Did you learn simply by watching people's fingers and listening to the music?? Please explain. I've been playing for 14 years and I write my own music.

@scottbrianmason Ok, put the cameronian rant or a piobaireachd in front of a piano or guitar player and watch them struggle. Don´t forget to explain why eg the crunluath is only written as an asterix. Then of course the harado, himbare, rodin and all the rest.........

Mate, stop being ridiculous, I've played the pipes man and boy and I'm also an experienced guitar and piano player. Pipe music is far easir to sight read than classical guitar music.

Wrong!!! written bagpipe notation is very very complex indeed, if not the most complex of all. Ask any guitar, trumpet or violin player to sight read pipe music. Dont forget they all share embellishments, pipers don´t, they play them all. There are so many notes in piobaireachd embellishments other musicians wouldn´t know where to start
