Eden and Conner (Version 2) Filmed with a Canon HF100 and the EnCinema 35 Adapter.
At $199 it is the smallest, most lightweight and cheapest 35mm adapter available for DV and HD consumer video cameras. For cameras with 30mm to 49mm front filter diameter.
This adapter allows you to attach and shoot with photographic lenses to obtain the true filmlook by having a much more shallow depth of field.

Some of the shots have a dirty ground glass..those were very early shots during experimenting with different types of glass and lenses.

  • hello. just want to ask one question. will it work with CANON HV40? and which 35mm lens do you suggest i should get? thanks in advance.

  • @shridhardev1991 Hi, yes it works very well with the HV40, nice camera by the way! It gives some of the best results. As for the lens I would recommend to start with a Canon or Nikon 50mm f1.8. They're sharp, fast at f1.8 and affordable ($45 used to $120 new). From there you can decide if you want to go with wider or tighter lenses. Hope this helps!

  • does it work with a jvc gz hd3?

  • @DerebellenHiphop Yes, it works very well with the HD3. Since the HD3 needs a macro filter set it gives even brighter results with less vignetting.

  • Would I be able to get such a great quality using the EnCinema adapter with my Panasonic dvx100B camcorder and Nikon 35mm lens??

  • @MissyBabe1013 Sorry the DVX isnt compatible, at least not without a few step rings and diopters. We recommend smaller DV and HD cameras. They can macro focus on the glass within the adapter much better than the larger cameras like the DVX. And yes, our adapter is compatible with Nikon lenses.
