Instead of the dv cam, I tried my laptop's webcam today. Seems to have a significantly better sound.

Howerver, it glitched somewhere naer the end, and skipped perhaps one second of recording. Oh well!

I love the Metramorphosis series, and will learn to play all five of them. This is the first, and by far easiest, part.

  • @OLNheffalump Thanks! The only way I can play that particular octave is by pushing my right shoulder to the left a bit more. This pushes my right arm a bit further and allows the thumb to reach the note without bending the wrist at a too sharp angle. Try that!

  • Pretty great rendition! Despite the quality, well worth the watch.

I was wondering, does doing the E octaves on the low end hurt at all? I saw Branca Parlic's performance, and it look fairly easy. However, when I do it, it hurts a ton! I tried sitting on the far left end of the stool, and had it placed further out than usual, and it still hurts. I do cross-over playing often, but this E octave under an E minor chord, for some reason is a different case for me. Any tips?
