But then again, why would a goverment want something like this? why would they care? Unless of course it leads to more student loans and banks raising the cost of student loans to the point that one will become crippled by the financial commitment.
God created everyone equal; I guess...

It's the education system set up. While revenue had declined, all school costs have risen. Why? Because they want to GROW the system. It means more teachers, which means more union dues. Higher wages mean higher union dues. That's why union dues have gone up a whopping 500% since the 70's.

It's not what government wanted. Nowadays, the lobbyists control many politicians with money. You give them the money, they pass the legislation. It's quite sad. That's why Illinois is 90 Billion behind in unfunded pensions. That's also why the IEA, Illinois Education Association spends 50 Million on elections.

Because of the culture that the tea party movement supports, big business & capitalism, the contemporary family has no room for actually spending any time to care for the child and to implement a strong program, one in which parents actually care about their child's education.
It takes money to invest money and not one taxpayer cares to have their taxes raised. Even if that means that the extra money goes to their school system to improve it and improve the education of the children.

On the contrary, taxpayers have been soaked by the school system. While we have seen virtually no improvement since the 50's, the money per child has risen 800%. You'll find many conservatives homeschool their kids, now that's a real sacrifice, but they're putting the kids first because of poor public education.

hey old man...talkinghead. You are right the system does stink, however it has nothing to do with the teachers union. It has everything to do with the medical profession and the ethical question of over diagnosis of children and ADD or ADHD.

It has everything to do with the Teachers Union. The union has their own brand of health care insurance which is considerably spiked. The teachers union and their bought and sold politicians are complicit in this whole mess. Why are tax payers being asked to pay for health insurance 4x more expensive then their own, 3% in cost of living increases while their salaries go down, plus pensions that are 4 to 5 times bigger than the taxpayer is receiving from social security?
