Yeah, stuff like this happens all the time. There actually was a real child snuff porn ring going on in Russia for awhile where, similarly to this, people could pay to see whatever they wanted. One child was even crushed to death slowly on camera. It's frightening but this is a true slice of humanity, like it or not. Depicting is not condoning.

I hate it how people say saw is better than this, they only say that because in saw, the victims have a chance to survive and they've done something to deserve being a victim, there's a tinge of empathy in the saw films, which people can relate to. Hostel is so raw and depraved, and there is no chance for the victim to survive. This movie delves into the sadistic side of human nature and makes a profit out of it, Saw is just ridiculous compared to this, this shit actually happens irl.
