@MrPaka420 If you want, you can use superthrive to stimulate the hormones that promote root growth. There are other hormone stimulants out there but they are basically the same. I always get clones without using any rooting hormones within 2 weeks of taking the scion using a method very similar to the video.

how is DWC different than other hydroponic techniques? DWC just seems like the easiest, are there any cons?

@LiveSimpIy With DWC you basically have the roots suspended in the reservoir with the nutrient solution available at all times. Roots don't work very hard to get the food they need, as long as you provide them with correct Ph/PPM levels. It is essential of DWC systems to be equipped with a strong airpump, The more air hoses in the reservoir, the better. Other systems usually have a water pump that helps move the water around so it does not become stagnant DWC relies on its air pump to aerate.

@ThePelletgunman Honestly, you probably don't want to use rockwool for a DWC system. Hydroton would be much better because it wont retain as much water as the Rockwool. Over watered medium can result in serious problems like mold, or rot of the stem. You can find rockwool or hydroton (clay balls about the size of a marble) at any hydroponic shop or online.
