Loveless - Voiceless

Ritsuka and Soubi: the magic, the mystery, and the heartbreak of their relationship.

I conceived of the idea for this vid before I'd ever seen the series Loveless or really knew the lyrics to the song I ended up using. I can't say I wholly advocate making vids on whim like this one though I'm not disappointed with the result.

The song used is "Silence" by Delerium (with vocals from Sarah McLachlan); the version used in this video is an edit created by myself using the opening from the version on the Karma album and the lyrics from the radio edit, available on the Silence single. This combination gave me just the right length for the opening, without making the rest of the video too long.

It has been a long time since I saw such an elegant and symbolic use of Loveless. You infused the video with so much subtle and delicate emotion for these two characters. I enjoyed your beat matchup and fading more then anything else, it really gave the magical allure which makes this video so unique and gripping. It was a trully inspirational work, and I applaud your capture of so much of the mystery that is Loveless.

Thank you so much. I really wanted to do justice to the beauty of Loveless and the emotion that the series inspires in me. I spend a lot of time working on simple things like beat matching and transitions when I'm editing because getting those right is so much harder than just tossing in a bunch of effects to distract from the rest of the flaws in my vids. (And they're there, believe me, because I can pick every one of them out!)

This is a very beautiful video. I liked the song very much, and it matched very well with the video.

I liked the clips you had chosen. :) The use of butterflies really is nice, and the kind of shattering of everything fit in well.

I love it! You kept to the true atmosphere of the anime, stayed in time with the song and showed the greater depths of loveless. I gives you a wonderful sense of melancholy. Definitely the best AMV i've ever seen. And you've designed so beautifully. Great job!

Wow... You know, I'd compliment this epic AMV but every word I can think of, has already been used by the others. And I think if I continued flattering you, I'd probably be repeating several others.

So I'll just say that I agree with shadowsinapril, relight and those others and tell you that if I'll ever trick someone into watching Loveless, I'd reccomend this so I'd be sure they'd end up falling in love with the anime as I have. :) Well done, you've made the best Loveless AMV I've ever seen.
