The complete version of "Psychocrystal" is included as a DVD Extra on Galaxy Rangers: The Collection - Volume 1.

Series creator Robert Mandell sheds some light on the making of this song during his audio commentary on the new DVD Box Set, Galaxy Rangers: The Collection - Volume 2.

Mandell explains an early plan to increase the number of songs featured in the series, with a view to releasing a soundtrack at some time in the future.

A licensing catalogue of songs was purchased, certain songs re-worked and included in episodes such as "Battle of the Bandits".

"Psychocrystal" was one such song. The original lyrics were re-written with a Galaxy Rangers theme and the music re-recorded featuring Canadian vocalist, Myles Hunter of Refugee.
