This is a great version of a great song. As an FYI, "Jambalaya" is a derivative of a Cajun folk song that was around long before Hank Williams. The melody goes back a ways and had several lyrical variations including "Pretty Texas Girls", "Back to Big Houston" and probably a couple I don't know about. So it goes with music in the oral folk tradition.

hank williams version is awesome but this guy brings a real creole louisiana feel and flavor to the music.

Listenin' to the music of Clifton Chenier, the king of the bayou...

Hank Williams and Clifton Chenier both do great versions of Jambalaya within their own genres!
the best version of this song....next to "the king of country/western" Hank Williams SR.

@shrubhater Yes I love Hank Williams too. I wish I could yodel like him lol. Hank wrote Jambalaya. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had to surgically remove a lot of the whistling by some jerk in the audience.
