one question though, where'd the off switch? i'm having to keep the lid unscrewed and taking one battery out when i want to turn it out, unless taht's what everyone else is doing? xox

Mine has an on/off switch right next to the battery lid on the bottom f the cat. Seems if yours does not have a switch there then it may not have a switch at all. Very odd as you certainly don't want it on all the time.

hmm i can't find it anywhere on the bottom of the cat, is the switch covered in fur or not? i might just not have one. :P

Nope not covered at all. It's on the black plastic part. It really should have a switch...

Yes it is the toy one. I got it in Cape Town but see the website I listed under my photo at Flickr user danievdm and search my photo tags for "breathing" (sorry YouTube won't allow me to post a URL here).

It is a video clip and the point was to show that the toy cat has a proper breathing motion. My daughter loves the breathing and wanted to show it to her cousin in Australia, hence the use of YouTube as you can't show this is a static photo..... I think people have different reasons / points for posting clips and mine was certainly not to tell a story or entertain people.... my point was to show the realism of the breathing and from that point of view I'm happy with the point I made.
