Although there's a few duds on 4:13 Dream, I still think it's a better album than the 2004 self-titled.
Overcompression in the name of standing out on ipod shuffle mode kills more decent music than anything else today. We will likely never know what Smith & co actually heard on the master tapes or what their intentions were because the mastering is so absolutely painfully destructive to the music. Maybe this was a good album, but who can tell. Chalk one more abortion up to the loudness war.

I'm totally disappointed about this album. I got this album the same as the one called "the cure" which was almost as bad as this last one. The Cure is my favorite band, I really enjoy their music from the very begin all the way to bloodflowers. All the rest doesn't count for me.

I'm glad about not buying this album. I'm a fan for 15 years but I think this is already over.
I was so dissapointed about the album "the cure" and full of hopes that "4:13 dream" could be a step back to the good old times but this album is almost worst than "the cure". It's terrible! Sad Sad the cure. :(

Wow what with all the hateful comments? R u cure fans? just curious cuz it dont sound that way to me. Really , why so critical of Robert and his weight? Seriously, is that what we look at the cure and listen to them for ? is it about appearance? It never used to be. We all loved the cure for the way their music made us all feel and we love to watch them perform. R u really wanting Robert to sell out and become a plastic person like the so-called singers of today? Not me. Cure forever!

I think the Dream album is an excellent album. Not every song is going to be a favorite but I do like several. What I dont get is all the hate you so called Cure fans have against Robert and The Cure? Truly. First of all, we all get older so judging for that is just ridiculous and to judge each album and say he is all washed up is another ridiculous notion. A true fan finds the best in each and every album. They are The Cure, they are not perfect. So be it!!
