  • Dallas seems blessed with a strong Asian community and Asian art community. When do the fairs take place? Maybe I'll drive up. I live in Austin myself. I am Korean-American and have been dabbling with calligraphy on and off. On my mother's last trip to Korea, she brought me back a lot of supplies.

  • Hi, You may look up the contact or phone numbers of the book sellers in the more info. Similar videos may be found by searching "book fair" - the owners of those bookstores come to Dallas and Houston at different times of the year and they do not have fixed schedules each time.

This one was recorded in the first week of December. BTW, I lived in Seguin and San Antonio before and they are close to Austin. I miss those places.

  • excellent work!

  • Mr. Chang distributes to all the "World Journal Bookstores" in the U.S. The phone in Sacramento, I believe, is (916) 391-5830.

  • Thank you for sharing your trip and buying experience. The book you showed of the 50 years of China's art had some wonderful works within the pages you showed. I believe there is the same store in Sacramento so I am going to have to make a trip there and see if I can find some of the wonderful things you have shared. Thank you again.

  • Thanks for sharing. Well, Chinese high school students have so many dynasties, emperors' names, Confucius teachings, provinces, cities to memorize... because the long history.

  • Some times we Americans forget that the Han and other people of China make up 1/5 of the worlds' population. They have generated an enormous amount of art and knowledge. The history is just as extensive the west. I.E. Rome,Athens and Egypt. Most of the people I know (myself included) have very little or no understanding of this. I am completelyt blow away by what I have missed and what is out their. thanks.
